Wedding Bands Cheltenham - From South Wales Across the Severn

The Brotherhood are a wedding band for Cheltenham and the western Cotswolds - five to eleven pieces, over the Severn from our South Wales base and up the M5. Cheltenham sits on the eastern edge of our patch, and the town’s wedding venues run from Regency townhouses in the centre (No. 131, Pittville Pump Room) to country-house and manor venues on the outskirts (Ellenborough Park, Cowley Manor, The Greenway) and Cotswold-edge options out into the hills.

The venues above are the Cheltenham rooms we’ve played or that we’d recommend for live entertainment. A few notes worth knowing:

• The civic and Regency rooms (Pittville Pump Room, No. 131) have the proportions and acoustics of buildings designed for music. They reward a properly mixed PA over more volume, and load-in for the central ones takes more planning than the country-house venues - confirm vehicle access and unloading windows with the venue before the day.
• The manor and country-house venues outside town (Ellenborough, Cowley, The Greenway) tend to be straightforward to load into and to take a full band comfortably.
• The Cotswolds villages around Cheltenham have plenty of barn-style venues that overlap with our Gloucestershire / Cotswolds page.

How a Brotherhood wedding day works

Our usual wedding shape: a chilled first set of around 30 minutes with the first dance and any other formal dances landed inside it, then two 50-minute dancefloor sets blended together in our own style. DJ playlists run in the gaps and after we finish. Ceremony and drinks-reception music handled by our acoustic line-ups if you want full-day coverage.

We bring our own PA and lighting and run in-ears, no floor wedges. The 5-piece Brotherhood (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keys) is the workhorse lineup; 6-piece adds sax; bigger configurations work in the larger Regency and Cotswold-manor ballrooms.

Travel from South Wales

From our base in South Wales, Cheltenham is an hour-and-a-half over the Severn and up the M5 - about the same as Bath or central Bristol. We travel for the day. Cheltenham weddings often pair naturally with our wider Gloucestershire & Cotswolds and Bristol catchment.
