Wedding Band Bath - South Wales' Brotherhood

Wedding band Bath - The Brotherhood travel from South Wales to Bath weddings at the Roman Baths Pump Room, Assembly Rooms, Royal Crescent Hotel, Ston Easton Park and venues across the city.

Wedding Band Bath - From South Wales Across the Severn

Bath is one of the most distinctive wedding-venue cities in Britain - a UNESCO World Heritage Site whose Georgian and Roman buildings dominate the wedding circuit. From our South Wales base, Bath is straight down the M4 and across the Severn; we work it as part of our wider Bath-Bristol-Cotswolds catchment alongside venues closer to home.

Bath wedding venues we know

The venues listed above are the Bath rooms we’ve played or that we’d recommend for live entertainment. The Bath wedding circuit splits roughly into three: the historic civic and Pump Room venues in the city centre, the country-house venues on the city’s outskirts (Ston Easton, Homewood), and the barn-style venues out into the Mendips (Priston Mill).

The Assembly Rooms Ball Room and the Pump Room are the headline rooms. Both are Georgian, both have the high ceilings and proportions Georgian architects designed for music, and both reward a properly mixed PA over more volume. The Royal Crescent is intimate by comparison and suits a smaller line-up than the civic rooms.

How a Brotherhood wedding day works

Our usual wedding shape: a chilled first set of around 30 minutes with the first dance and any other formal dances landed inside it, then two 50-minute dancefloor sets blended together in our own style. DJ playlists run in the gaps and after we finish. Ceremony and drinks-reception music handled by our acoustic line-ups if you want full-day coverage.

We bring our own PA and lighting and run in-ears, no floor wedges - which matters in a room with civic-listed restoration on the walls and proportions that already do half the acoustic work. The 5-piece Brotherhood (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keys) is the workhorse lineup for most Bath venues; 6-piece adds sax, and bigger configurations work in the larger civic ballrooms.

Travel from South Wales

From our base in South Wales, Bath is straight down the M4 and over the Severn - about an hour from Newport. We travel for the day rather than billing it as out-of-area, and we usually combine Bath weddings with our wider catchment across Bristol, the Cotswolds and Somerset. Tortworth Court, up the M5 in South Gloucestershire, sits on the same South West run - about half an hour north of the city.

Recommended Wedding Venues

We've performed at many beautiful venues in the area. Here are some of our favourites:

The Roman Baths & Pump Room

One of the most iconic wedding venues in Britain. The Pump Room offers Georgian elegance with incredible atmosphere, while torchlit receptions in the Roman Baths themselves are utterly unique. The acoustics in the Pump Room suit live music beautifully. An unforgettable setting.

Assembly Rooms

A magnificent Georgian venue in the heart of Bath. The Ball Room is one of the finest spaces we've ever performed in - the proportions, the chandeliers, the acoustics are all exceptional. This is where Jane Austen's characters would have danced, and the atmosphere remains magical.

Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa

Situated in Bath's most famous address, this venue offers intimate elegance. The function spaces are beautifully appointed and the team deliver impeccable service. The setting speaks for itself - there's nowhere quite like the Royal Crescent.

Ston Easton Park

A Palladian mansion set in Humphry Repton-designed parkland just outside Bath. The State Rooms are magnificent, with acoustics that suit a band perfectly. The venue manages to feel both grand and welcoming - a rare combination.

Bailbrook House Hotel

A Georgian mansion overlooking Bath with stunning views. The Cloisters function room offers good space for a full band with level access for equipment. The team are well-versed in managing wedding entertainment logistics.

Priston Mill

A wonderfully characterful barn venue just outside Bath. The Tythe Barn has exposed stone walls and timber beams creating a warm, rustic atmosphere. The acoustics work well, and there's a genuine sense of occasion about the space.

Homewood Hotel & Spa

An elegant Georgian house with beautiful grounds. The Mendip Suite accommodates bands comfortably, and the venue offers excellent facilities throughout. A more intimate option that still delivers on style and sophistication.
