Pompeii is one of those songs where the hook everybody sings is not the vocal line at all - it is a wordless chant. That makes it a gift for a band built around harmony singing.
The Apple Tree Theory arrangement leans on that. Rather than one person carrying the tune with the others backing, the vocal is shared out and the chant becomes the spine of the whole thing. It is closer to how the band actually works than most of what we do.

Most of The Apple Tree Theory’s work is evening work - the act for the whole night, for couples who want something other than a dancefloor showband. Sometimes they play an afternoon and one of the bigger bands takes the evening. More on how the three bands fit together.
