Filmed at Newbridge Memo
The Brotherhood, The Sisterhood and The Apple Tree Theory filmed at Newbridge Memo, the restored art deco theatre in Caerphilly - the closest thing to seeing the full band in a room.
When we want footage that actually looks like the band, we go to the Memo.
Newbridge Memorial Hall sits in the Valleys about twenty minutes north of our base in Newport. It was built by miners’ subscription in the 1920s, fell into disrepair, and was restored properly - the art deco detail, the raked auditorium, the ballroom. The ballroom has the floor space, the height and a room that does not fight you acoustically. For a band that scales up to eleven pieces, that combination is rarer than it sounds.
Everything here was shot at the Memo across several visits, going back to 2015. It covers all three of our bands - the full Brotherhood showband, The Sisterhood as a ten-piece, and The Apple Tree Theory acoustic. If you want to see what the difference between a five-piece and an eleven-piece actually looks like set up in a room, these are the videos to compare.
We have also written up what it is like to play the Memo if you are considering it for a party or a wedding.
