Camille Bennett sings this one, and it is the biggest performance in the 2019 run.
Take Your Mama is built on piano and a lot of swagger, and it goes at a fair pace for something you are playing acoustically round a table. It also sits high. There is no version of this song that works if the singer is being careful with it, so Camille just goes at it, which is exactly right.
The piano part is the song, really - it is the thing everyone recognises in the first two bars - so the arrangement keeps that front and centre rather than trying to be clever with it.
Camille first recorded with us on Rather Be back in 2015, and has been part of both bands since. This one usually turns up at parties rather than weddings, for fairly obvious reasons once you have heard it.
