The last of the 2019 run, recorded in December with Bongo Peet on lead.
Shotgun was inescapable that year and it was in demand at every wedding we played, so an unplugged version was more useful than most. It is also one of the few recent hits that genuinely suits being stripped back - it is basically an acoustic song wearing a big production, so taking the production off does not cost you much.
Peet sings it and plays percussion at the same time, which is how he did Lovely Day in the 2015 run. Having the groove and the vocal coming from the same person keeps it honest when there is no drum kit in the room.
Between this and the four from 2015 there are nine Kitchen Sessions now, and a third run is in the works.
