Blurred Lines - The Brotherhood | Early Live Band Video

One of the first videos we ever put up, from March 2014. The description we wrote at the time called it “just a bit of fun”, which is accurate.

The song is built almost entirely on a bassline and a cowbell, with very little harmonic movement. That makes it easy to play and hard to make interesting, and a band covering it has to bring something of its own or it just sits there. What it does have is a tempo that gets people moving without being fast, which is why it was in every function set that year.

It is worth being honest about where this sits in the catalogue. This is what the band sounded like in 2014, filmed simply, before any of the properly produced work. We have kept the early material online because the alternative - a channel that only shows the polished version - tells you less about what you would actually get.

For a fuller picture of what the band does, the Brotherhood page is the place to start.
