Jon Lilygreen is one of the lead voices of The Brotherhood, and a Newport singer who took the long way round to his home-town stage - by way of the Eurovision Song Contest, a Warner Bros record deal and a run of his own bands.
Eurovision 2010
In 2010 Jon fronted Jon Lilygreen & The Islanders, representing Cyprus at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo with “Life Looks Better in Spring”. He was the only act in that year’s final not already known in Cyprus or Greece - a singer from Newport who came through the semi-final and sang to an audience of millions, finishing 21st in the grand final.
Lilygreen & Maguire
The year after Eurovision he formed Lilygreen & Maguire with Jon Maguire and signed to Warner Bros. The duo released singles including “Come On Get Higher” and wrote alongside established names before the two went their separate ways.
Heartbreak City
More recently Jon co-founded Heartbreak City, a South Wales synth-pop trio whose debut album landed in 2025 - 80s-leaning songwriting written, produced and mixed between the band’s own studios in Newport.
With The Brotherhood
These days The Brotherhood is Jon’s main focus. He’s one of the band’s lead vocalists and a director of the band - the voice out front at weddings, corporate dinners and parties across South Wales and beyond. A frontman who has sung on a Eurovision stage and released on a major label knows how to handle a room: he’ll hold a quiet first dance just as well as he’ll push a late-night dance floor.
If you’d like Jon to front your event, tell us your date and we’ll confirm his availability.
