The Brotherhood are a corporate event band based in Newport, working across South Wales and out to Cardiff, Bristol, Birmingham and London. Five to eleven pieces, depending on the room and the brief.
A corporate night is not a wedding. There is no first dance to lean on, the running order belongs to somebody else, and the awards will overrun - so the band works around speeches, presentations and an auction rather than the other way round. Two sixty-minute sets is the usual shape, with playlists either side so the room is never silent between the formalities.
We run in-ear monitors rather than floor wedges and DI the guitar and bass to the desk, which means no backline on stage and a smaller footprint than the headcount suggests. That matters in a conference room where the stage is going up after the plenary and coming down before breakfast.
