Wedding Season 2022 - The Busiest Year Yet

A look back at our busiest ever wedding season - catching up on two years of postponed celebrations across South Wales and beyond.

If 2021 was about getting back on our feet, 2022 has been about running flat out. This has been comfortably our busiest wedding season ever - and we’ve loved every minute of it.

The Post-COVID Boom

Two years of postponed weddings all landing at once. We’ve seen back-to-back weekends from April through September, sometimes with Thursday, Friday and Sunday weddings squeezed in alongside the Saturday. Tuesday weddings are a new one though! It’s been intense, but the energy from couples who’ve waited this long to celebrate has been incredible.

Venue Highlights

We’ve been all over the place this year. Cripps Barn in the Cotswolds has been a new favourite - rustic, atmospheric, and the crowd always goes off. We’ve been back to Ashton Court Mansion in Bristol a few times, which is a stunning room for a full band. And Ston Easton Park near Bath was a real highlight - a Palladian mansion with a dance floor that filled before we’d finished the first song.

The Setlist

Post-lockdown couples want a party. We’re seeing fewer slow-build setlists and more “hit the ground running” requests. Opening with something like Shut Up and Dance or Mr Brightside and keeping the tempo high all night. We’re not complaining.
