When we were asked to bring the Brotherhood showband to Cardiff City Hall for the annual Welsh Care Awards, we knew it was going to be a special night. This is a gala dinner that celebrates the people who dedicate their lives to residential care and hospice services across Wales - and they deserved a proper party.
The Event
The ceremony itself was hosted by Welsh tenor Wynne Evans, and the evening honoured care workers from across the country. Once the awards had been presented and the formalities wrapped, it was our turn.
Filling the Dance Floor
We brought the full showband - four vocalists, brass section, the lot - and the dance floor was packed from the first number. There’s something brilliant about a room full of people who’ve been sitting through a formal ceremony all evening finally getting the chance to let loose. The energy was incredible.
Back for More
We must have done something right - we were invited back to perform at the 2019 Care Forum Wales event too. Corporate gala dinners are one of our favourite types of event. The production is always top-notch, the audience is up for it, and a big room like Cardiff City Hall gives the full showband space to really deliver.
If you’re planning a corporate awards night or gala dinner and want a band that’ll get the room on its feet, get in touch.
