Our Favourite Wedding Venues in South Wales and the Borders

The Brotherhood's pick of the best wedding venues across South Wales, the Severn Valley and the Cotswolds - from a band's perspective.

We get asked all the time: “What are the best venues you’ve played?” After hundreds of weddings across South Wales, the Severn Valley, and into the Cotswolds, here are some of our favourites - from a band’s perspective.

Hensol Castle

The Great Hall at Hensol Castle is hard to beat. It’s a proper castle, the room has incredible natural acoustics, and there’s enough space for a big band setup without cramping the dance floor. We’ve played here more times than we can count and it never gets old.

Elmore Court

Over the bridge into Gloucestershire, Elmore Court is a stunner. The Gillyflower is purpose-built for parties - great sound, beautiful design, and a crowd that’s always up for it. One of the best rooms we play in.

St Tewdrics House

Perched up in the hills above Chepstow with views across the Severn. Intimate, stylish, and the kind of venue where the evening party feels really special. The room isn’t huge, so the energy stays concentrated - which is exactly what you want.

Llanerch Vineyard Hotel

A vineyard wedding in the Vale of Glamorgan. The setting is gorgeous, the food is excellent, and the function room works brilliantly for a band. We’ve had some fantastic nights here.

Canada Lodge & Lake

Tucked away near Cardiff with a lake and beautiful grounds. It’s a hidden gem - the kind of venue guests remember because it’s unexpected. The barn-style function room has a great atmosphere for live music.

Peterstone Court

Up in the Brecon Beacons, Peterstone Court combines stunning scenery with a cracking party space. The acoustics in the main room suit a full band, and the setting means guests are relaxed and ready to enjoy themselves from the start.

Dewsall Court

Just over the border into Herefordshire, Dewsall Court is beautiful. The walled garden, the barn, the whole estate - it’s the kind of place where everything just works. We always enjoy playing here.

Manor by the Lake, Cheltenham

A bit further afield but worth every mile. Manor by the Lake in Cheltenham is a regular for us now. The lakeside setting is stunning, and the function room is built for a party. The Cheltenham crowd knows how to dance, too.

Getting married at any of these venues? We’d love to be your band. Get in touch.
