Summer Wedding Season 2018 - What a Run

A look back at our summer 2018 wedding season across South Wales and the Severn Valley - Clearwell Castle, Miskin Manor, and more.

We’re halfway through summer 2018 and the wedding diary has barely had a gap in it.

The Venues

Clearwell Castle in the Forest of Dean was a highlight - a gothic castle with a room that takes a big band without anyone playing quietly. Miskin Manor has been in the diary a few times too.

We’ve also been out to The Barn at Brynich near Brecon, which is a different job entirely. Timber-framed barns flatter a live band, and a less formal room tends to get people up earlier.

Thornbury Castle was another standout. A Tudor castle with all the grandeur you’d expect, and a wedding party that danced until the very last song.

What We’re Hearing

Couples this year are going for a mix of modern and classic. Think Stevie Wonder into George Ezra into Whitney Houston. Nobody wants a setlist stuck in one decade.

More to Come

The rest of the summer is packed. If you’re at one of our upcoming gigs, come and say hello.
