We’re halfway through summer 2018 and the wedding diary has been relentless - in the best possible way.
The Venues
This year has taken us to some stunning spots. Clearwell Castle in the Forest of Dean was a highlight - a proper gothic castle with a room that suits a big band brilliantly. Miskin Manor has been in the diary a few times too, and the Great Hall there always delivers.
We’ve also been out to The Barn at Brynich near Brecon, which is a completely different vibe but equally brilliant. There’s something about a barn wedding that brings out the best in a crowd. Less formal, more fun, and the acoustics of a timber-framed barn give the music real warmth.
Thornbury Castle was another standout. A Tudor castle with all the grandeur you’d expect, and a wedding party that danced until the very last song.
What We’re Hearing
Couples this year are going for a mix of modern and classic. Think Stevie Wonder into George Ezra into Whitney Houston. Nobody wants a setlist that feels stuck in one decade, and that’s exactly how we like it.
More to Come
The rest of the summer is packed. If you’re at one of our upcoming gigs, come and say hello.
